Orthotics

Orthotics are medical devices, which can help realign your feet and lower limbs. Just because you may need them now, does not necessarily mean you need to wear them forever.

Good prescription devices can help you to recover from many common conditions affecting the foot, ankle, knees or lower back. Orthotics are also used to help you to recover and rehabilitate following injury.

There are 33 joints and 26 bones and hundreds of tendons, muscles and ligaments in each foot. A highly intricate and complex mechanical structure. Even the great Leonardo Da Vinci was once quoted regarding the foot, “The foot is a masterpiece of engineering and a work of art.”

Sometimes the bones in the foot can drop out of alignment causing a mechanical chain reaction and failure of the normal function of the feet and lower limbs, causing pain and discomfort anywhere along the kinetic chain, and adversely affecting the way you walk.
