Understanding the Condition

This main stabiliser and propulsor of the foot, is commonly injured through poor biomechanics or injury. There can be mictotearing or acute inflammation of the tendon, in some cases a complete rupture of the tendon can occur. Orthotics can play a crucial role in helping you to recover from this painful condition.

Recommendations

If your symptoms persist, you should consider booking a consultation to have your biomechanics assessed to see if prescription orthotics are needed. Sometimes we have to consider anti inflammatory or regenerative injections. In other cases physiotherapy is necessary, dependant on the stage or grade of your condition.
